About Us
Who We Are
We are a full-service vein specialty care center that focuses on treatment of lower extremity venous insufficiency, including varicose and spider veins. Vein Institute of Pittsburgh℠ was founded by Terrance R. Krysinski, MD. With patient satisfaction, education and care ingrained into the founding principles of the practice, each patient is taken care of. From initial greeting and appointment setup to a detailed review of family history and individual treatment plans, at the Vein Institute of Pittsburgh patients find the highest level of care.
Our vein treatments are customized to our patients’ needs, related to lifestyle, preference when possible and optimal effectiveness. We take into account patient comfort of each surgical procedure to provide our patients with quick and minimally painful procedures so that they can get back to their lives. At Vein Institute of Pittsburgh℠, we make sure that every one of our patients is fully aware of healthy vein function and the signs that come with insufficient lower extremity veins. All treatment options are explained to our patients in full, so that they have a better picture of recovery and future preventative care. Not only do we educate our patients about lower extremity venous conditions and their treatments, but we follow up with our patients long after treatment has passed with ultrasounds to monitor their lower extremity veins for new or worsening issues. Chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) is chronic in nature, making long-term monitoring an important part of complete vein care.
Our Advantages
Why choose the Vein Institute of Pittsburgh℠
for your vein care needs?
Our surgeon, Dr. Terrance R. Krysinski, is certified by the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. Dr. Krysinski performs vein procedures daily in our Warrendale office, in the northern suburbs of Pittsburgh. Unlike some other vein clinics in the area, all procedures in our office are performed on an ambulatory basis without stepping foot in the hospital. Our office boasts a welcoming environment with friendly providers and office staff. Among the positive feedback we receive regularly from patients, we commonly hear that trips to the Vein Institute of Pittsburgh are unlike typical typical doctor or surgical visits, but more personable and pleasant.

Come In for a Medical Evaluation and Ultrasound
Vein Institute of Pittsburgh℠ provides new patients with a thorough ultrasound of their lower extremity veins. This ultrasound will be performed by one of our physicians or physician assistant. The deep and superficial lower extremity veins will be evaluated. Based on the ultrasound and vein mapping results, the physician or physician assistant will inform you if vein treatments are recommended. Should you need treatment, our office staff will help verify insurance coverage before procedures take place. We are excited to welcome new patients to the Vein Institute of Pittsburgh℠ family.
